The RD500 gives better results when searching for individual pipes in grass, soil or under road surfaces. At pressures from 2 to 5 bar and
sufficient flow speed, the receiver tracks the pipe over a distance of up to 150 meters. Works best at pipe pressure values
in the range from 3 to 7 bar; maximum pressure 10 bar.
The location accuracy is equal to 25% of the depth, with a pipe depth of up to 2 meters. It may decrease when working with buried pipes
under pavement or concrete. The pressure wave from the TransOnde transmitter is dissipated and the peak readings are received with greater
surface area.
The location range may be reduced in areas where a pipe passes through a tree or connects to a larger pipe – this is where the signal
TransOnde transmitter is separated or attenuated.
