Probes

Used to detect buried plastic water pipes, gas pipes and any other non-magnetic utilities. The probes are stand-alone sensors that are used with our cable and pipe locators.

Probes are usually attached to a flexible rod, pushed along the pipe, and the position of the probe is determined from the ground surface. The flexible rod allows you to locate the entire path of the pipe, not just the end. Blockages can be detected by pushing until the probe stops and then determining its position.

Our complete user guide covers the range of Radiodetection probes and related accessories, including flexible rods and flexible traces, which can be used to trace the routes of pipes, channels, sewers and drains, and to pinpoint the location of blockages or collapses. Check the probe’s frequency to ensure it can be detected by your Radiodetection cable and pipe locator or cable crawler tool.
